Do you want to save time on using Instagram for business?

Don’t know what Instagram scheduling tool to choose?

To grow your Instagram community, it is important to be consistent and post at the right time. In social media marketing, the automation of some processes always helps to save time and be more productive.

There are several services for Instagram scheduling, but the question is which one will serve you better.

For this post, I’ve tested and compared seven of them.

The scheduling steps are similar for all the tools:

  1. Adding image, description and setting the publishing date through the computer or mobile device.
  2. At the scheduled time you get a notification on your phone, that you need to post an image.
  3. Select ‘Open on Instagram.’ Edit the picture if you need in the Instagram editor and paste a description.
  4. Share the post.

As the several other services, Buffer only sends the notification to your phone, and then you need to publish the photo by yourself. The reason is the Instagram limitation of what can and can’t be automated. As they say:

We built Buffer for Instagram this way to keep our community safe. We’re keen to make sure every account that posts through Buffer is doing so with Instagram’s consent and never gets shut down.

Free plan:

  • Scheduling up to 10 posts per social profile at one time.
  • Only one posting schedule.

For each profile, you can set up its time zone.

On paid accounts, you have the calendar view of all the posts, where you can reschedule any posts manually or drag and drop them to the new day/time.

Also, paid account gives you the access to additional analytics. You can sort posts by those, which are most popular (have most likes or comments) or those, which are least popular (have least likes and comments).

For those who are just starting out, free plans of Buffer or Later will be more than enough.

Then, there are numerous helpful functions to look at when you choosing the Instagram scheduling service:

  • Easy to use, schedule and reschedule interface, which saves time.
  • Additional analytics options.
  • Ability to engage with followers and other users content.

Also, from all the services there are those, which send the notification to your phone, and you publish by yourself and those, which do that for you.

As the policy and terms of use of Instagram and services get changed from time to time, when you pick the completely automatic tool, check its integration with Instagram so it won’t have any problems.

Depending on your needs, these tools will help you to save a lot of time for posting images, curating user’s content and engaging with your follower.

  1. Hey Marina,

It’s always good to know about the tools which can help us to show our presence on the social networking platforms.

Noadays, people are using Instagram in their daily routine. They require some tools like Buffer and all.

    Thanks for shairng with us.

  2. Hi Marina,

    Love this list! Thank you.

Have you tried HopperHQ? I’m currently using it and it is such a lifesaver.

It’s fully-automated, like Schedu.gram, but their prices don’t depend on how many followers you have, so even if you have thousands of followers you pay a base rate depending on how many accounts you have.

You should definitely check it out, I think it would be a perfect addition to your list!

Thank you for sharing this though! ?

  3. Hi Marina,

    Nice list of choices here!

I use Hootsuite while my wife uses Onlypult… we’re both satisfied with our chosen solutions, but there are definite pros and cons to each.

    Sharing!

    Brent

  4. Love this list Marina, but it’s missing my current favorite – Socialdraft!

I used a some of the things in this list but switched earlier this year to socialdraft for all my clients’ social. My favorite feature there is team collab, so I can just approve what my team did.

    • Hi Alex,

Thank you for mentioning it. I’ve never tried them, but it looks like a service with the interesting features.

    • Hey Alex – why dont you be honest with people and tell them that you work for Social Draft? Its pretty obvious since its the only thing that you comment on according to your disqus profile. If its that good, people wont care.
